Conclusion

Overall, the idea of inaugurating safe driving habits into daily living is present through AT&T’s It Can Wait campaign. The purpose was to demonstrate the dangers of distracted driving- both to drivers and passengers alike. In fulfilling the promises listed throughout the mission of the program, it is irrefutable that the short film helped foster a commitment to contemplative thought and action before entering a vehicle. Thus, AT&T’s production, The Unseen, argues that texting and driving is ethically and morally unjust by establishing credibility, appealing to pathos, and incorporating strong messages. With accreditation to the death of the young boy as characterized in the commercial, his death pays homage to the millions of victims who have been killed from distracted drivers. If people used their phones for its original intent, then maybe individuals like the little boy would still be roaming the corners of the earth.
