The Electoral College Depresses Voter Turnout
There is a depression in voter turnout because the current electoral system excludes voters from having a meaningful role in presidential elections. COHERENT TO MY ARGUMENT, the declaration “Consider the fact that each state picks its own presidential equivalent-its governor-quite directly: one person, one vote. All votes are counted equally and in close races recounted carefully. America should copy this state tested model when choosing the governor of us all: the president,” conveys a call to action in reforming the process of campaigns and elections (Amar, 2016, p. 2). in a leading nation of democracy like the united states, all Americans are to be treated as free and equal individuals; this testament has not been put into the practice of the electoral college. (REFERENCE MY FIVE FAKE PRESIDENTS TAB IN WHICH I IDENTIFY AND EXPLAIN five SEPARATE elections in which the winner of the popular vote did not win the presidency.)
Most American citizens stop voting as an act of protest against faithless electors. “Just because a candidate won the popular vote in your state does not mean that your electors have to cast a vote for that said candidate themselves” (Cardenas, 2019, p. 1). In a sense, a faithless elector is one who breaks a promise to the people who they are representing. Instead of performing the job of an elector in an honest and fair matter, a faithless elector changes their original pledged vote without the consent of their people. As a result, many citizens become nauseated in the world of politics and decide to stay as far away as possible from it. FOLLOWING THE ELECTION OF 2000, MY PARENTS BECAME SO DISGUSTED THAT THEY HAVE NOT VOTED SINCE!

This video essentially proclaims that your vote does not count unless you live in a swing state; and even then, your vote is not make or break. WHAT HAPPENED TO POLITICAL EFFICACY? (THE IDEA THAT YOUR VOTE MATTERS)
